Jobs in Indian Country can be challenging and stimulating.  Job postings can also be difficult to locate, sometimes.  The first place to always look is on individual tribe's website - check their HR department page, or maybe they have a page titled Jobs, or Opportunities.  Individual business enterprises operated by a tribe may have a separate page for job postings - such as their Gaming enterprise, or schools, or health care entities.  Tribal Courts may also post their own jobs, or they may be on the tribe's HR site. 

There are a variety of general job boards on the web which contain tribal positions as well as positions related to or associated with tribal work.  Remember, not all tribe's advertise so widely, or on general job boards, so you will also need to look at individual tribe's websites and job postings.   

• Turtletalk  is a blog hosted by Matthew Fletcher at Michigan State University. Job announcements are posted every Friday.
• National Native American Bar Association provides job postings.
• National Congress of American Indians posts job announcements for positions with tribes and with entities that work with tribes.
• Bureau of Indian Affairs also offers employment opportunities working with and for tribes, and they also offer opportunities for students.
• The Association on American Indian Affairs is a non-profit serving Indian Country protecting sovereignty, preserving culture, educating  youth and building capacity.  They post both internal and external jobs.
• Tribal College, Journal of American Indian Higher Education has a job board for both job seekers and employers, listing positions both in and out of Indian Country.
• The National Tribal Judicial Center provides Tribal Job and RFP Announcements
