This guide provides an overview of accessing courts materials through docket searching.

SUPREME COURT DOCKET SYSTEM

The website of the Supreme Court offers open access to case information through their dockets, with coverage from 2001. The docket also includes links to scans of most filings submitted to the court after November 13, 2017. To search for dockets on the Supreme Court website, navigate to the docket search page.

PROQUEST SUPREME COURT INSIGHT

The law library also provides access to ProQuest Supreme Court Insight. Supreme Court Insight is an online collection of full opinions from Supreme Court cases argued, including per curiam decisions. They also include petitions for writ of certiorari, dockets, petitioner and respondent briefs, joint appendices and  amicus briefs. Oral argument transcripts go back to 1955. Supreme Court Insight has a complete collection range from of 1975-2016.
