- Understand federal enabling acts and the relationship between statutes and regulations
- Understand the federal regulatory process
- Understand the purpose and organization of the Code of Federal Regulations
- Understand the purpose and organization of the Federal Register
- Understand the different parts of a CFR section (aka federal rule/federal regulation)
- Efficiently find federal regulations on a specific topic using a variety of methods
- Efficiently find federal cases on a specific topic using a variety of methods
