Agency Pages
Each agency has its own page with recent documents, regulations to comment on, and a link to subscribe to updates.
My Subscriptions
You can create an account and then click on Subscribe on an agency’s site to have recent or significant agency documents emailed to you. You can manage your subscriptions by clicking on My FR.
Advanced Documents Search
There is an advanced search feature which helps you locate specific documents and proposed or final rules.
Topical Index
There is a topical index so you can retrieve all notices, rules, and other documents on a specific topic by clicking on the index topic.
Submitting a Comment
Anyone can participate in the regulatory process by submitting a comment on a proposed regulation.
The regulations.gov site makes it easy for interested parties to participate in the regulatory process.
When you click on a comment link on federalregister.gov it takes you to regulations.gov site. Or, you can just go directly to regulations.gov to make comments and read the comments of others.
Also, the site has a lot of useful information on the regulatory process.
The Unified Agenda is published twice a year and describes regulatory actions that agencies are developing or have recently completed.
Unlike the Federal Register, it gives the public notice of agency actions that are still in the pre-rule stage.
Like federalregister.gov, it is useful for tracking agency developments.
